No Hurry, In Africa

I had the amazing opportunity to spend my Christmas vacation in Africa. My family and I experienced the wonders of Tanzania and Mozsenbique. We need everything under the sun! The trip was eye opening and life changing. Our time was spent doing everything imaginable. From the lions in the Serengeti to the Turtles of Vamizi. If only I could really explain each and every aspect. I hope the pictures above can explain more of the adventure.

Looking at these pictures now makes me want to go back and enjoy those moments again. While at one of the destinations I came across a book of Africa Proverbs. They inspired me, as always I became enchanted by the short and sweet wisdom.

Wisdom is like a baobab tree; no one individual can embrace it.

There is no river that flows without asound. (Zulu: South Africa)

Before one heal others, heal oneself. (Wolof: Senegal, The Gambia)

Kindness does not spoil. (Swahil: East Africa)

The first fruits are sweet, some so are the autumn fruits. (Ovambo: Namibia)

Days like to be provided for. (Zulu: South Africa)

Photo credit to my friend Amy's camera - and whoever was taking the photos. This was friday, and well I really liked my outfit.

Lets consider this post as a party/outfit photo post. My mom got me those jeans from the Topshop in Tel Aviv and I literally haven't taken them off all week. The shirt is also from TS but from a while back - very happy to wear it. The handband is new and something I have never tried before.

A very fun night in at Harry's house once again. Obviously got classier throughout the night...

Resolutions

Happy 2011!

There is no ring to that... but I want to make this the best year ever. The holidays were pretty incredible and I promise do a post asap. This year I promised not to make any clear cheesy resolutions to "strictly" follow. Instead I will be my best self possible... ya okay that's cheesy too. The most important resolutions I will make are the following:

~ post AT THE LEAST once a week
~ make as many of these as possible, person outfit pictures
~ PUBLICIZE this blog, this includes me getting twitter (ewwwwww) and actually letting people see this blog

These goals are published now soooo I have no choice but to follow them. Some really exciting news??? I made it on to Lookbook.nu!!! I have always been an avid reader so I was very excited. I hope to get some major hype this year.

Here's something super cheesy to keep us on track

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the harbour.
